Our Story

Hello, My name is Curtis Chase Owner/Chef at Chloe’s Eatery. I have been in the industry a short 11 years with the first couple years not fully into the Industry. I was Born & Raised in Fairbanks Alaska. I grew up around hunting and fishing but I got more Involved in the Harvesting of Moose & the occasional Caribou in my late Teens & into my early 20’s. it is in this time I unknowingly started to build this connection with food as my hunting Partner & I would harvest our yearly Moose, Field Dress, Hang The Quarters, Process the Whole Primal Cuts, Package & Freeze for the winter.

In 2010, after some convincing from my Grandmother, I went to Culinary School at University of Alaska Fairbanks. I remember walking into my first day of school and our first class was a sanitation class. The bright lights, clean counter tops & shiny equipment caught my attention & I could feel that this could be something. It was during these couple year at school that gave me a base foundation for opening up to learn more about the food industry as a whole. In that process I realized how much I really loved cooking for people on a much larger scale, I love how there are so many different Dynamics to the Hospitality Industry, & that I wanted to push myself further to see what I could do.
